What began as a film and photography project, by Content House Kenya, originally aimed at capturing the cultural heritage of communities in northern Kenya evolved into a music initiative celebrating the rich sounds of the Turkana people. During production for the film Turkana: Races for Resources, the team discovered exceptional musical talent and developed an album featuring four singers from Turkana. The project blends traditional Turkana rhythms with contemporary influences, with jazz guitarist Eddie Grey serving as producer and musical bridge, helping record live performances across remote locations including the shores of Lake Turkana and surrounding landscapes. The album showcases authentic, collaborative music that highlights cultural preservation, creativity, and growing global recognition for the artists involved.
