Through storytelling, five artists use music to explore a range of life experiences and social themes, bringing forward voices that are often underrepresented. What began as a photography and film project evolved organically into a musical collaboration, reflecting the natural creativity of the artists and their environment. Set against the striking backdrop of Turkana, including the iconic Lake Turkana, known as the Jade Sea, the project highlights both the region’s beauty and its deep cultural heritage. As part of the broader Artists Xchange initiative and a companion to the upcoming documentary Turkana: Races for Resources, it brings together different artists to highlight current regional issues. Ultimately, the project aims to shift perceptions of Northern Kenya by celebrating its art, empowering local communities, and inspiring a renewed appreciation for traditional roots.
