The Nomadic Arts Festival, set for December 6 at the Oshwal Center in Nairobi, emerges from over a decade of creative work in Northern Kenya led by Content House Kenya. Its foundation lies in projects like Turkana Sessions, where music was recorded live across locations in Turkana, from the shores of Lake Turkana to Eliye and Kerio, capturing the region’s landscapes and stories through sound. This evolving body of work expanded through the Turkana Artists Xchange initiative, bringing together multiple artists to explore social and cultural themes affecting the region. Now, the Nomadic Arts Festival extends that journey into a larger, shared space, connecting artists and audiences while deepening visibility for Northern Kenya’s creative voices. Alongside performances, the festival also integrates a marketplace, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local economies and sustaining artistic communities.
